Welcome to my voice on the web
Many people who read In the Eyes of Anahita get inspired to make a difference in this world. It is not important what we do, but rather that we do something. The world will not change overnight. Actually, I always compare the change that needs to happen with the vastness of the ocean. A lot of people feel overwhelmed by this realization, but I encourage you all to find comfort in taking those steps that are within your power, small or big. What is important is that we all move forward, one step at a time. Ultimately the ocean is the sum of googles of little raindrops. Each one of us has the power to be a little raindrop of change. A lot of little raindrops make a very mighty ocean!
So browse around, pick a topic that is near to your heart and ACT!
For those that need more inspiration, I encourage you to visit http://www.quantumshift.tv/ an online video web community which I started earlier this year where those who make a difference in this world share their stories.
Hugo Bonjean was born in Antwerp, Belgium on February 8th, 1965. As the oldest of four kids he grew up with a strong sense of human rights and justice. He vividly recalls his emotional experiences during his childhood when at times he was confronted with stories, news or movies about the oppression of indigenous peoples and the poor in developing countries. "It wasn’t like I was just observing their pain and suffering, I could feel it. It hurt deep in my heart, almost like I had been there, like it had been done to my family and me."
This blog is about bringing awareness in respect to the violence in our society. Personal stories, links and resources for those affected by the violence. As a society we need to stop the violence. Thank you for taking the time to read the posts. Take care, be safe!
